My mission is to help others build a successful business through training and duplication.
JERUSHA BROKAW
I am an entrepreneur and mother to three amazing children. Starting my own business has been one of the toughest yet most rewarding decisions that I have ever made. I originally made the decision because I was a stay at home mom, and had the urge to feel like I was contributing more financially to my household. However I did not want to get a job where I had to leave the home because my children were still young, and I wanted to be around to raise them.

I started with Tastefully Simple! I had never heard of the company before, and was invited to a Tasting Party. I had so much fun, and loved all of the products. I wished that I could buy them all, but as most of us do… I went to the party with a budget, and could only buy a few things. The consultant made the whole presentation look so easy and fun, that I was pulled into the business aspect of the company. This was a company I could really get behind!

I signed up, and it has been really fun, and rewarding. However, after a year or so of being a consultant I fell upon some hard times in my personal life, and was unable to put the time into my business. That’s one of the most important things that anyone who is considering starting their own business really has to think about; you have to work your business every single day. If you don’t nobody else will and your business will fail!

I decided to go get a “real job” because I needed a steady income source, and my Tastefully Simple business had faltered. Not just because of the issues in my personal life that kept me from putting the time into my business, but also because at that time I wasn’t a part of a team that really supported me, and I didn’t know ANYTHING.

In my “real job” I worked hard, and thought I would work my way up the corporate ladder. I started at the bottom floor and worked my way to Assistant Manager within 4 months. Then was promoted again to the main assistant manager 3 months after that! Things were going great, and I thought I was on track to becoming a manager and getting my own store. But unfortunately corporate politics can be tricky, and I found that they tend to say things that they know will keep you motivated to do a great job, even if they really have no intention of coming through on things.

After a couple of years of working hard for "the man" who didn’t appreciate me; I got Tired of it! I started to remember how much fun I’d had working with Tastefully Simple a few years prior, and knew that I could make it work as long as I followed the plan, and worked hard. I was already working hard anyway, so why not work hard for something that I loved and would see the rewards and be recognized for my hard work!

About a year ago I signed up again. However this time I did a little more research. I made sure to pick a sponsor who was a bit higher up in the organization and whom lived near me. I didn’t want to make the mistake of choosing someone who wouldn’t be there to support me. When you decide on an organization to join you should always be sure that your sponsor has been with the company for awhile, has achieved some success, and is part of a supportive team. These are the keys to success!

This past year I have learned so much! I have realized that life is full of hard times. I’ve learned that life is never easy. And I’ve learned that if you want to make a change in your life you have to take action to do so. Running your own business is not easy, but it is the most rewarding decision you will make. I know that I have to put in the effort every single day to keep the wheels on my business turning. But the most important thing that I have learned is that all the information you need is at the tip of your fingers!

We live in this amazing day of technology where you can literally learn anything you want to learn right from your living room! I have done a lot of research, and have all of the resources you could need to start and run a successful home based business. Let my trial and error work to your benefit!

Since becoming a consultant with Tastefully Simple again I realized my desire to generate multiple income sources, and found myself drawn to Norwex because their products have little to no impact on the environment. Also a lot of their products help you clean with just water. As a mother this is something that is important to me. I want to keep as many chemicals away from my children as I can!

Most recently I became a Playsaver with Simply Fun. However I am still in the test market stage with this company. I am very happy with what I have seen so far. They have won tons of awards for their educational board and card games, and my kids love the games that we have tried so far. The main reason I decided to check them out is because they have a line of games that are specifically designed for kids with Autism. I have a niece with Aspergers, so this is important to me.

I am not here to make you believe in anything. I’m here to tell you what has worked for me, what products I believe in, and if you like what you see I’d love to help you start your own home based business too! I want to help people who are tired of working hard for someone who doesn’t appreciate them, doesn’t compensate them appropriately, and doesn’t recognize their hard work. Does this sound like you? If so, I want to help you achieve your dreams!
